Story Taharima
I am Taharima and I am 5 years old. I only weigh 10 kilos. At birth I appeared to have an open palate and a spastic paralysis, I’m a so-called floppy child.
I cannot stand or walk independently, and my cognitive development is lagging behind. But this year I have learned to roll over and I can now sit and play with support. I know the children in my class by name, even though I cannot pronounce their names. Because of my open palate, eating has always been difficult for me, but my mother has learned at the Niketan center how to help me and now it isn’t so scary anymore and I slowly gain weight. I really love to come to the center and I hope to learn much more.
