News Collaboration with Wilde Ganzen

In 2024-2025, Niketan will again collaborate with Wilde Ganzen.

For 26 years Niketan has been providing care and education for children with disabilities. We do this in buildings that were built some time ago using materials that have lasted for quite some time. It is important that we offer the children a safe and inviting environment that stimulates their senses and encourages their development. A place that is safe in the face of an ongoing climate crisis, safe from erosion, floods and cyclones. A place where they can enjoy themselves, where they have fun with each other, enabling friendships to form. This is very valuable because in everyday life this often proves to be very difficult for these children.

Our children also need knowledgeable and committed support workers who must be able to attend introductory and advanced training courses. Niketan not only looks at the child, but also at his/her family and living environment. That’s why we organize meetings in communities and collaborate with mainstream elementary schools, health centers and hospitals.

Our work is never done. There will be other children born with disabilities and others will become disabled as a result of diseases or accidents.

Niketan can only do this work thanks to donations from individuals, family and equity funds. This year, Wilde Ganzen will increase donations to Niketan for the above expenses by 0.50 cents for every euro you donate.
