Story Ahil
Ahil Asfak is seven years old and has an autism-related disorder. Due to lack of positive stimulation in learning daily living skills, until recently, he was completely dependent on his parents.
He spent his days in front of the TV watching animal cartoons. The animals were his role models and he behaved like one of the cartoon characters. Ahil had only just entered our special educational needs program when it had to close because of COVID-19. But the online education worked for him. Instead of the cartoons he watched his teacher’s videos and something no one expected happened: Ahil started to talk. He now enjoys coming to the veranda school. He is more able to concentrate and has learned to do puzzles and communicate functionally.
